I am using 64128KFCBW-RGB LCD display. Is it possible to change backlit colour

Where am I?

Yes, you can change the color of the backlight. This link has more info:

Initially we were getting LCD with backlit as below. But now LCD background color is changed and what ever RGB colour we set we are unable to match the previous batch LCD backlit colour. We cant send different LCD to same customer. How to correct this.

The new batch of LCD looks dull. As below. Is there any setting which needs to be done. There is no change in our circuit.

Do you have a RGB LED driver so you can change/ control the backlight color? Also did you design your circuit to be able to adjust LCD voltage/ contrast?

LCD and LED tolerances can affect contrast and LED color so we always recommend designing in controls in your circuit for this.

of course you can

There is a change in backlight LED as per PCN

DESCRIPTION OF CHANGE(S)
REASON FOR THE CHANGE(S)
In the spirit of continuous improvement, Displaytech has implemented material upgrades and minor production process
updates for our standard lineup of monochrome graphic COG modules.
In order to improve the backlight performance, both brightness and color, the backlight LED was changed.
Please note all products will continue to meet Displaytech performance and quality standards.
BEFORE CHANGE(S)
1. Original LED used in the backlight:
a. 64128K/M RGB backlight is with LED P/N 19-237/R6GHBHC-M01/2T
b. 64128L RGB backlight is with LED P/N 19-237/R6GHBHC-M07/2T
AFTER CHANGE(S)
1. New LED used in the backlight, P/N S1615RGB

Whether this change is causing the brightness problem? There is no change in our circuit. Why change in display brightness and backgroung colour?

We have provision in our firmware to adjust the RG colour. Even with that setting i am unable to get the required brightness and required background colour.

This is the circuit what we are using. The LCD signals are controlled by microcontroller STM32F103RBT6

The base signal of the transistor is generated by microcontroller and output of transistor is connected to LCD.

Hi,

Yes, there is a PCN for this display, as part of our continuous improvements, and changes in supply chain.

The backlight LED has changed, and we did provide PCN.

I apologize for the inconvenience.  This is the updated version for stock going forward.....
